Chemical Corps Department
Department is involved into the process of teaching and training of future commanders of Chemical Corps units.
Department provides teaching of many academic specialized subjects:
- Combat usage of Chemical Corps;
- Chemical Techniques and Material Constructions;
- Personal and Collective Protection;
- Meteorology;
- Chemical Engineering;
- Chemical Technology;
- Decontamination;
- Toxic Industrial Chemicals, etc.
Department provides basic practical education in laboratories – especially in the subject of Personal and Collective Protection.
Department supplies CBRN defence education for non-CBRN specialists within the NATO and education in application courses.
The Chemical Corps and Technical and Economical Development Department in scientific work:
- deals with defence research goals in CBRN Defence area;
- studies and evaluates trends of CBRN Defence development of contemporary NATO and PfP armed forces;
- creates concepts of CBRN Defence modernization in a harmony with development of new technologies;
- participates in examination of material quality that are suitable for construction of individual and collective protection equipment;
- provides expert opinions and reviews;
- participates in production (writing) of national standards (directives, regulations, manuals and SOPs for units, staff and commanders);
- takes a part in combined arms projects.
Main outputs of Chemical Corps and Technical and Economical Development Department are:
- Directives and Aid Memoirs designated for unit operation;
- Contrubutions to the military publications of all doctrine levels;
- Literature for cadet’s study;
- Bookish publication;
- Research reports and studies.
Other important outputs of Chemical Corps and Technical and Economical Development Department are:
- Supervision and control of military exercises;
- Organizing of not only military conferences and seminars but also conferecies designed for Ph.D. students;
- Cooperation in development of personal protection equipment and decontamination systems.
