Chemical Corps Department

Department is involved into the process of teaching and training of future commanders of Chemical Corps units.

Department provides teaching of many academic specialized subjects:

  • Combat usage of Chemical Corps;
  • Chemical Techniques and Material Constructions;
  • Personal and Collective Protection;
  • Meteorology;
  • Chemical Engineering;
  • Chemical Technology;
  • Decontamination;
  • Toxic Industrial Chemicals, etc.

Department provides basic practical education in laboratories – especially in the subject of Personal and Collective Protection.

Department supplies CBRN defence education for non-CBRN specialists within the NATO and education in application courses.

The Chemical Corps and Technical and Economical Development Department in scientific work: 

  • deals with defence research goals in CBRN Defence area;
  • studies and evaluates trends of CBRN Defence development of contemporary NATO and PfP armed forces;
  • creates concepts of CBRN Defence modernization in a harmony with development of new technologies;
  • participates in examination of material quality that are suitable for construction of individual and collective protection equipment;
  • provides expert opinions and reviews;
  • participates in production (writing) of national standards (directives, regulations, manuals and SOPs for units, staff and commanders);
  • takes a part in combined arms projects.

 

Main outputs of Chemical Corps and Technical and Economical Development Department are: 

  • Directives and Aid Memoirs designated for unit operation;
  • Contrubutions to the military publications of all doctrine levels;
  • Literature for cadet’s study;
  • Bookish publication;
  • Research reports and studies.

 

Other important outputs of Chemical Corps and Technical and Economical Development Department are: 

  • Supervision and control of military exercises;
  • Organizing of not only military conferences and seminars but also conferecies designed for Ph.D. students;
  • Cooperation in development of personal protection equipment and decontamination systems.
